Therapy for Business Professionals

Those pressures that you can’t let others see or know about…

You’ve got it all (or are on your way), and everyone else sees it. Maybe it’s happened quickly (okay, that might be how the outside world sees it), but we know that your “overnight success” has taken your blood, sweat, and tears for a lot longer than that.

But it’s hard to always keep it going…

The burn seems never-ending. How long can I stretch this?
Will our cash run out?
Will we have enough for payroll this month?
How do I convince the new investors without looking desperate?
Is this even going to work?

You still need to look in control, even when everything else is spinning out of it.

It would be easier if you only had to worry about the work. But what about what’s going on at home? You see, everything you’ve worked for is so close, but will that girlfriend, wife, or kids even know you when you get there?

What message(s) am I sending (teaching) them when I keep promising “in the future” it will be different?
Money is nice, but will that make up for the time they are missing now? And how much am I missing?

Are your dreams aligned with theirs? All the money in the world won’t get back those days, weeks, months, and years… and those girlfriends, wives, and kids will eventually wind up in my office – without you – trying to make up that time and trying to understand.

More and more demands mean SOMETHING’S getting cut out of your life.

Are there things you are missing out on or putting off until your get to that point when you can “finally allow yourself to relax”?

Is it your relationship – the one you’re in now that you have no time for?

Is it the business partner you’ve always wanted?

Is it those kids whose futures you are working so hard for but whose childhoods you are missing?

I won’t waste your time…

Because it’s the one thing, I know you never have enough of. So, let’s cut through how much you make, your liquidity, and your net worth.

Here’s what I’m offering (and it’s guilt- and stress-free!):

A chance to take a break…

A moment to breathe…

An opportunity to say what you want in complete confidence…

A time just for you…

I know… I know: You certainly don’t have time for that! But don’t dismiss it just yet. Hear me out!

Taking even a little time for yourself will make you better.

It’ll make you more productive, more efficient, and more successful.

Whether you want to admit it or see it, the stress is building inside, even more so when you pretend it isn’t there. I’m not offering some touchy-feely solution to your stress.

I am offering an opportunity to say the things you are thinking but can’t.

I’m offering the assistance not to keep putting everything else on hold. Let’s keep moving some of the neglected areas of your life forward, so when you get to that point, you worked so hard to get to, you won’t have to work so hard to catch up in the areas you haven’t.

I will help you save time and move forward. Personal relationships are a completely different skill set from those you have in business.

So let’s review your “Life’s Portfolio” and make it more efficient by making small tweaks now that will continue to grow and pay off in the future. Stop guessing what will make your family happy while still stressing that you are not/

Let me help you implement the most promising strategies that will bring the best results with the time you do have.

And this isn’t coming from some soft-spoken, sensitive therapist…

It’s coming from me, a CPA with an MBA in international finance and a master’s degree in taxation. I’ve worked with high net-worth individuals and entertainment clients for the last 30 years while running my own business assisting successful start-ups.

I just HAPPEN to be a licensed therapist.

Things get put off – continually. Time disappears, but you can’t forget what matters on your way there. Even if your family is around you physically, you will still feel alone.

Please let me help you avoid learning this lesson the hard way. You want it all, and you deserve it all. Give yourself this gift to really have it all.

I know you always feel that you have to project “an image of success.”

To give the impression that you have it all under control. I know how hard it is for you to be vulnerable and show that there might be a crack in that façade.

I approach it in three stages…

First, you.
Second, your family.
Third, we pull it all together.

Listen, understand, empathize, plan and strategize, implement, and review.

There is a saying that saying something out loud makes it real… so in this confidential business-understood discussion we will have, you can say it.

I know you have some things that you can’t say to anyone – partners, employees, families, or friends. There are worries and concerns that I know you can conquer, and they are conquered easier when they are shared.

I have no direct ‘skin in the game’ relating to your business. Although I want you to succeed, my only concern is your health and well-being.

If it would help, I will work with your girlfriend, wife, and family to understand them and their needs and help them better understand your pressures and how everyone can work – to get “there” altogether.

I will help you understand growing your current and future relationships. By finding and creating small slivers of time-opportunities, we will fill them with things that reinvigorate you and most efficiently “keep everyone happy.”

I will help hold you all accountable – to make sure your life and those around you continue to move forward and not stagnate.

Going to therapy should never carry with it any kind of stigma (I didn’t always think that way!), but I know it does for some. With me, you’ll never have to worry about your privacy; both my business and psych licenses require it! We don’t even have to meet at my office. We can find a time and place that best suit your needs. Believe me… I get it!

Stop putting yourself on hold!

You might not take lunch, but you have to eat sometime. Close your office door and let’s talk while we eat.

Like you, I sleep little, so if late-late nights, when you are the last one out, work better, we can do that. Remember, this should not be viewed as a cost center – this is adding directly to your bottom line.

I learned too many lessons the hard way. Take advantage of my experience so you won’t have to, and you’ll be even more amazing than you are right now

You CAN have it all!
